Scholarships

On each conference, we offer a number of Scholarships for Young Researchers that are granted to outstanding doctoral students who have an active interest in the academic area of the conference. These doctoral students play a critical role in conference, attending the parallel sessions, providing technical assistance in the sessions, participating in informal sessions and the presentation of their own research. The grant, together with its responsibilities, offers a professional development opportunity for the students, at this stage of their academic careers. Meet with experts in the field, interact with colleagues from other parts of the world, create contacts and friendships with other participants, are some of the additional benefits of this scholarship.

Requirements and benefits:

  • Doctoral students are entitled to free registration and are given special recognition during the congress.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program.
  • Applicants must have a proposal accepted to the conference.
  • It is required basic knowledge of computer technology, data projectors and PowerPoint application.
  • The awarded must be available at the venue the day before the conference (for orientation and training) and throughout the whole event.
  • The scholarship does not cover expenses with transportation, accommodation and food.

Carmen Ruiz Viñals
Universidad Abat Oliba CEU – Spain
(Invited Collaborator)

Director of Business Management Studies at Abat Oliba-CEU University (2017). PhD from Pompeu Fabra University (1998) and Senior Fellow in Urban Studies by the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) The Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Baltimore, Maryland, EEUU (1993). Master’s degree in Public Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1992) and Degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Barcelona (1990). Professor Ruiz has also been evaluator of European projects in the V-VI and VII Framework Research Programs. She is currently Co-Coordinator of the Chair of Family Business and Entrepreneurship at Abad Oliba CEU University. Currently she develops her research task in the lines of Family Business, Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Skills, socio-laboral Policies and HR Management.

Luis Manuel Fernández Martínez
Universidad San Pablo CEU – Spain
(Young Researchers Scholarship)

PhD from Universidad CEU San Pablo (with FPU scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport), Master’s degree in Documentary and Journalistic Feature Transmedia from Universidad Carlos III in Madrid and a degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication from CEU San Pablo University. He is conducting his doctoral thesis focused on social audience analysis. She is part of the CEICIN group (Center for Research on Communication and Childhood) at CEU San Pablo University. He has been a member of the work team of the Auctoritas domestic project, digital training and learning community in families with school children. Currently he is part of the project From mass culture to social networks: media convergence in the digital society and collaborates as Teaching support with the teacher Teresa Torrecillas in the subject Architecture and Analysis of the Information of the University CEU San Pablo.

Dovile Kuzminskaite
Universidad de Vilnius – Lithuania
(Young Researchers Scholarship)

Dovile Kuzminskaite (Lithuanian, born in 1990). Since 2014 is a lecturer in Vilnius University, Department of Romance Philology (teaches Latin American literature and Spanish as a foreign language). Currently is studying PhD in Latin American literature in Complutense University of Madrid (thesis on Uruguayan visual poetry of XXth century). Graduated from Lithuanian philology and Spanish as a foreign language in 2013 and continued her studies in Spain, where studied Master in Latin American literature. Has published three articles: Body of Lyrical Subject in the Poetry of BirutėPūkelevičiūtė and Idea Vilariño (published in Lithuanian, Zmogus ir zodis, Vol 16, 2014), Amanda Berenguer: géneros entretejidos (in Spanish, Anales de Literatura Hispanoamericana, vol 43, 2014) and Tradition and Innovation in Uruguayan Poetry of XXth Century (in English, will be published in 2017).

Rosa Iannuzzi 
Universidad Abat Oliba CEU – Italy

Graduated in Classic Litterature at the University of Bari; graduated in Psychological Science and Techniques at the University of Chieti – Pescara; specialized in Archeology of the Late Antique and Middle Age at the University of Basilicata – Potenza; specialized in Psychologically-based handwriting reports for the Libera Università della Nuova Medicina – Milan. Permanent teacher in Litterature and latin in High Schools, with twenty years of experience in handwriting analysis in the legal sector, actually attending a Ph.D in cinematographic Media Education in the Italian public school at the Universitat CEU of Barcelona.

Hugo Rueda Ramírez
Chilean National Historical Museum – Chile
(Young Reserachers Schollarship)

Hugo Rueda Ramírez holds a degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Chile. He has also studied specialization at the University of Barcelona, the Colegio de México, and the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut in Berlin. His research focuses on interdisciplinary dialogue between, among other things, cultural history, studies of visual and material culture, and studies on heritage and museology. He is currently a researcher at the Chilean National Historical Museum.

Enrique Tribaldos Macía

 Enrique Tribaldos Macía
Universidad Complutense de Madrid – Spain

Degree and Master in Multimedia Journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid where he argues a PhD that proposes a new Model of Content Analysis of Film Space. He has extensive experience as a film and television producer and is a specialist in new audiovisual formats. He teaches at the Camilo José Cela University of Madrid since 2010. Member of the Spanish AcademiaTV and the Press Association of Madrid.

Degree in Business Administration and Management, Official Master in Humanistic and Social Studies, PADE at IESE Business School. Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Business of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Abat Oliba CEU University. Teaching in the areas of management, leadership and analysis of the economic and social environment. Collaboration in projects of social entrepreneurship linked to education and culture.
